This song has become a beacon of hope to connect my family and I during this difficult year. "Daddy, Why's the World Go Fast?" is a Connolly family original song, written and produced by Bill Connolly featuring daughter Leah Connolly on vocals. Over the past six months, we finished writing and recording from our home studios. The song reminisces back to exciting mornings going to work with Dad, Bill Connolly at #Q105 morning radio show in Tampa, Florida. At five, I still remember all of the simple things like the smell of toast as I woke up at 4am. Dad's breakfasts didn't always mean "breakfast food" - I assumed that all young daughters were offered steak sandwiches for breakfast. We used to count the cars that we would see on the way to "work" at 4am... You could usually count them on one hand. Growing up, my brother and I got to lend our voices to comedy bits and parody songs on Q105 and all of the Tampa radio stations. In the 90s, we used to "wow" the station by breakdancing in their sales offices.
